Sorry I have not been responding to people's requests. I have broken my left arm. It is a serious break and I am only just now getting back on the computer. It will take 3 to 4 months before I have full use of my hand again. I hope to catch up with messages over the next few days. And I look forward to creating more art again.

There has been a rather lively discussion on the internet about female heroes. This in part is due to some questionable actions by the major comic book companies towards their female characters. This discussion got me thinking about the Heroines that I grew up with. I decided I would illustrate these heroes. Because I’ve been experimenting with different mediums and styles I used illustrator and did my best to keep the images as flat and purely graphic as possible. I chose to call this Heroes of My Youth rather than heroines of my youth because in this case I felt hero, in the gender neutral sense, is more appropriate. For example the

I guess there has been some confusion over the artwork I have been posting the past few days. I was unable to find Advent calendar for this year so I decided to do my own. This is a personal challenge to myself to produce a piece of artwork each day through Christmas.
